Behind his powers

North is considered to have two personalities. When he is in defense mode, or even just in combat, his ego kicks in and does not register anything but destruction.

When his ego is triggered, he cannot remember any of the events that happened while it is in control. It does not stop until every danger is executed, and only sees red even when mercy is asked for. When triggered, anyone is not talking to North, they are talking to a different person who is not named. Take caution when attacking this suspect, you never know what could happen in one blink of an eye.

It is true, that he is very powerful and unlike any being that most have ever met. Though, with such power comes a lot of side effects.

The human brain is not meant to use all of it's power without it completely deteriorating. So as many experiments were run on him to override this, he escaped before they could finish. So, whenever he uses his power, or his ego takes over, his brain continues to bleed internally and the most powerful organ continues to deteriorate as time goes on.

North only continues fighting for the sake of finding a way to survive. Even if it means most of the damage that he creates cannot be repaired, he has to try.

North didn't expect to be swooped off his feet so quickly. Even within the first conversation he had with Four, he felt his heart beginning to race. Was it because he wasn't used to being treated with such respect and care? North liked to think that they were just meant to be together, as if it was fate.

Their relationship is still very new to him, but every single day was a new roller-coaster ride that North wanted to ride in the first seat. Four will always be able to break North down until he seemed like a different person, and the witch wouldn't have it any other way. He is prepared for every thing that comes to face them as long as they face it together.

North had just found his first family, and spent the rest of the summer before school being drilled on how to just be a normal kid. After spending most of his childhood stuck in a containment zone with no friends, of course the little witch was eager to begin making friends.

Jadyn had been the first friend he ever had, and ever since North ran into him hiding underneath the bleachers, there had been a spot in his heart that always belonged to him. Reuniting has been a different kind of experience, and the witch may not be held to the title of being normal any longer, but North would do anything and everything to remain by Jadyn's side. Rather that be friends or something more, North knows that he would do anything for the person he would always deem as his first love.

North was always running from something, ever since he was 7 years old he was never in one place for more than 2 months at a time. He always knew he had to leave because of the strange faces that appeared in small towns where everyone knew each other's name. It wasn't until age 13 that he realized exactly why. It was the first time his defense mechanism kicked in, and it was called his ego. One moment he was asking his pursuers what they wanted from him, the next everything was suddenly red. The walls, the ground, his clothes, and most importantly his hands.

After that his ego seemed to trigger more instantly whenever he was in danger. There had been no research at the time, so besides the number of hours North spent at internet cafes looking up his symptoms, he came up with nothing but more questions. It took years of his life for him to realize just how powerful he was, but it took him only seconds to understand just how much danger he put people in just by simply remaining around him for too long. It pushed him to remain alone for many years, never keeping friends for more than two days, and switching towns after 2 weeks.

At the age of 24, he is still very much on the run. Yet, he can control whatever he puts his mind to. His years of seclusion has taught him that he is indeed a witch, but he's also a soldier and a genius. After a few minutes of reading material he masters all information that he takes in. He is fluent in every language, he can solve any equation, and practically any problem laid out before him.
